The Beighton Scale is used to identify Hypermobility. A positive Beighton score does not necessarily mean you have HEDS. One point is given for each of the following joints, with a total score of 9 points. Where the joint is bilateral, there is one point for each side. Elbow bends backwards more than 10º degrees (1-2 points) Knee bends backwards more than 10º degrees (1-2 points) Thumbs bend back to the front of your forearm? (1-2 points) Little finger bends up more than 90º from the back of your hand? (1-2 points) Hands can be placed flat on the floor with your knees straight? (1 point)
