The Culinary World Cup in Luxembourg brought together 30 national teams across the globe. Over the 6 days of intense competition, teams presented their newest culinary creation to the world. Hong Kong, first time competing on this new ground, was awarded Silver on Cold Display Culinary Art (with only 0.416 point to Gold) and Gold Medal for our Hot Cooking, named number seven over 30 nations. There we met with our old friends from many nations and made new friends. Seeing their beautiful products did not intimidate our team; we learnt more about our own limitations, and opened our mind to new techniques and new presentations. We are glad to be part of this great event and write our first page in Culinary World Cup! Alongside, we have a Hong Kong booth at the World Chefs Street of Nations pavilion. With the partnership of Chinese Cuisine Training Institute (CCTI) and International Cuisine Institute (ICI) of VTC, we showcased Hong Kong culinary experience to the world audience and was appraised by visitors and the World Chefs family. Together the 25 members have demonstrated the Hong Kong Spirit at the world platform and made Hong Kong proud!
