The Department of Youth and Community Development welcomes you to join us to express our deepest sympathy to the New York Police Department (NYPD), particularly the 84th Precinct, and the families of Police Officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos, who were tragically slain in the line of duty on December 20, 2014, in Brooklyn. DYCD and our partnering community-based organizations rely on the service of the NYPD to support our work to help keep young people, families and communities safe. We are inviting programs to create and deliver condolence cards to the 84th Precinct, or to your local NYPD Precinct, during the week of January 5 to January 10, to show our appreciation for the officers who care for us, and our support for the families of Officers Liu and Ramos.
