The Ebola situation and death of a Doctor has exposed our systems - TopicsExpress

The Ebola situation and death of a Doctor has exposed our systems further. It shows how unwilling our authorities are to work together in peace and in partnerships. For instance instead of that incompetent health minister and her team spending quality amounts of time arguing amongst themselves and against other people there could have been a concerted effort by necessary stake holders such as the ministery of local government, immigration, defense and the police. None of them thought this way even when we spent time posting about things they could have done well to minimize the damage. With concerted efforts they could have put the disease into a category 1, and as we continue to grow and understand the problem escalate it to a category 2. That is how we deal with things like cyclone here which creates an easy understanding of the problem. But look at some of our ministers there and tell me whether they are robust in their daily activities. When I described few oldies there as decrepit antic automobiles who had outlived their usefulness some officials screamed. Well today we now have a category 3 from no category. Have we not seen how they spent so much quality time fighting and arguing with each other, ducking and diving with the truth? People will have to keep us malice for this one but surely this exposed the incompetent nature of a government that failed woefully to act quickly and swiftly to minimize the damage Ebola has caused. This will continue to create more international embarrassment for our beloved nation, and to hell with those who may want to tie our fingers not to punch the truth on the keyboard. Do not panic. We in the diaspora are doing our best to help but again we will pound the truth and beat some reality into your lazy heads to think better next time we face such an epidemic. Already I have been saying its a shame to keep an incompetent minister of a delicate sector such as health who demonstrated no sober experience or efforts, or good policies made on the fight against Ebola. Another to come to the firing line is that decrepit automobile who was still in power when I was trying to complete knowledge of times table in my primary school. What did he do with his outlived experience educating our chiefs in the interior of the country to pass much needed awareness to their subjects. Another one goes to those who have caged our president into a den feeding him with ongoing lies about Ebola where even the most lay citizen wondered why he was only talking now. I suspect that as we have those advisers who only tells him what he wants to hear and never with guts to pound hard realities for the president to understand that our problems are real, it has come to this today. Amen/amin.
