The Farmers Market at Henry Horton State Park had a great first Saturday! Vendors were selling out of produce as people came from all over Middle Tennessee to shop for fresh, local and healthy food options. Produce grown in the parks own Garden to Table garden was sold by park Conservation Worker Mark Matzkiw. The funds from these sales are directed to the Friends of Henry Horton and then placed back into making the gardens and greenhouse at Henry Horton State Park even better! Produce that was not sold was then taken to the park restaurant to provide fresh, healthy choices to customers. The Farmers Market is open on Saturdays from 7 a.m. until noon until October 25.
