The Fourth Arm Of The Treswithian Interchange May Soon Be In Place! Trelawney Alliance has discovered that a developer has submitted plans for the erection of 58 dwellings, 48 care flats and a 50 bed residential nursing home on 10 acres of agricultural land between Tregenna Lane and Boundervean Lane. The proposed entrance would be adjacent to the footpath from Camborne to Penponds. Interestingly a former application for this development was refused by Kerrier District Council because the only access was in an area used by three schools. Alarmingly, the pre- planning application letter states: ‘The development proposals would provide an early phase of development on land previously identified by the council as forming part of a wider area as a strategic allocation’. In other words this would precipitate the commencement of the Camborne West development on prime agricultural land at Treswithian, Park Holly and into the environs of Penponds. ..........
