The Friends of the Tumbledown Dick would like to Fran for her incredible hard work over the course of the year and understand why she felt she was not able to continue as Chairperson. The loss of the Tumbledown Dick has highlighted serious issues which have enabled another unpopular development to be imposed on the community. The action group have been assessing the fallout as the dust settles. Whilst we have a desire to move on, there are still things to fight for regarding the Tumbledown. A major concern is that McDonalds will destroy the fabric of the building without allowing it to be definitively surveyed and dated. To our knowledge, this has never been done and denying it can only bring further insult to injury. We intend to make this perfectly clear to all involved. We would like to thank each and every one of you for your help, contributions and support over the last year. We now need to focus on creating a legacy for the Tumbledown, and moving forward with new ideas. With your continued support we believe we can achieve great things.
