The Government Accountability Board isnt perfect, nor is it immune - TopicsExpress

The Government Accountability Board isnt perfect, nor is it immune from political influence, but a nonpartisan board of ex-judges with staggered terms is a vastly superior system for running elections, compared to letting a single partisan elected official have control of the process, which is the plan being advocated by my Republican opponent for the Secretary of States office. Elections run by a partisan Secretary of State have a very predictable result, and we all got to see it play out in Florida in the year 2000- and Washington state in 2004, and Minnesota in 2008. Julian Bradley seems to think that Katherine Harris is a worthy model for the Secretary of State in Wisconsin- Id rather junk the title altogether before I let that happen to our elections. Wisconsin is the only state in the nation that has made elections management nonpartisan, denying the Republican and Democratic parties both any say in how the rules are enforced. I think it should stay that way, even if we had a Libertarian Secretary of State.
