The National Conference and many speeches. Many delegates first saluted the President for setting up the NC and including them in the Ounje Omo that accompanied it. They continued to agonize on issues that were already over-complained of and over-debated. I couldnt cover the entire dialogue yesterday. But out of all the speakers I was able to listen to, Comrade Jaye Gaskiyas narratives and submission made most sense. He based the problems of Nigeria on Class theoretical perspective. He then proposed a Social Charter that will reduce the gap between the rich and the poor to the barest minimum. That may not be enough but it is not a bad step. I expect other CSO members (from our background) there like my mum to re-fire from where Comrade Jaye retired.
