The Shelby County Sheriff’s Department responded to possible shots fired in the Fountaintown area on today’s date. Shelbyville Police Department officers were given a description of a possible vehicle involved in the incident. The suspect vehicle was located on the north side of the city by a SPD officer. A vehicle stop was performed on the vehicle in the parking lot of Speedway on North State Road 9. The occupants were taken into custody for questioning. There were four total subjects in the vehicle at the time of the stop. One of the suspects, Chris Eleton, advised officers that he had “weed” on him. A bag of a green plant material was located on Eleton and later tested positive to be marijuana. Eleton was charged with Possession of Marijuana (Class 6 – Felony) by the Shelbyville Police Department. The Shelby County Sheriff’s Department charged another suspect and two others were released from the scene. Thank You, Lieutenant Michael Turner Public Information Officer
