The Sherdog Fight Finder is an essential tool for all those involved in mixed martial arts, used daily by everyone from fans to fighters, managers, promoters and media. Unfortunately, as of late, it has also become a tool for scam artists seeking to profit off the work of others. Recently, we at Sherdog have become aware of a number of scams wherein an individual will claim to have access to the Fight Finder and will offer to update a fighter’s profile or promoter’s event in exchange for money. Some of these impostors disguise themselves with misleading “Sherdog” email addresses; some have been so bold as to create Facebook pages where they list their fees, charging hundreds of dollars for a service which, in reality, does not cost a penny. Because of this, we are asking for your help to spread the word: the Fight Finder is a completely free service -- free to use, and free to update. Anyone requesting any form of payment for updates does not represent Sherdog, and we ask that you report them to us immediately.
