The Worlds End: A sad mess. ******************SPOILER ALERT********************* The problem is, the movie is trying to be so many things, it fails on almost all. Comedy, bromance, buddy movie, alien invasion, body snatchers, ironic drama, I cant tell you all the genres this tries to fit into, and then stands at the door, never really able to commit. It takes too long to set stuff up, and the payoffs for the set ups arent that great. And the ending, absolute crap. Starting with the fact that we REPEL the aliens by MOCKING THEM and just being annoying, it then turns into this ridiculous post apocalyptic thing where you dont know what is going on. The only part I really enjoyed were watching the robots get their heads popped off like Rock-em Sock-em Robots every time a fight broke out.
