The bombshell announcement came from the Treasury Department on - TopicsExpress

The bombshell announcement came from the Treasury Department on Tuesday night, catching even the administration’s close allies by surprise: A key part of Obamacare will be postponed for one year. The employer mandate — or as the administration calls it, the shared responsibility rules — was put on hold. Businesses won’t have any new requirements to cover workers, or penalties if they don’t, until 2015. So this is the most controversial part of the act because businesses could cut back worker hours or even layoff workers do to the increased costs of healthcare. I am sure postponing this implementation to 2015 had nothing to do with the 2014 mid term elections! The bill was passed in 2009 and the first phase did not take affect until January 2013, right after the election! I have not seen any individual mandate waived. What happened to shared responsibility and taking care of the middle class?
