The following is a poem that I wrote for my moms funeral service. It was hard, but I recited it at the service. RIP MOM LOVE YOU FOREVER. As I sit and think about you mom I cant imagine why God would take you way too soon Up to his heavenly sky. I want to be that little girl Who sat upon your knee I want to be that little girl Just you and me. I miss our talks And sleepovers too I miss the precious time I spent with you. You sure did have an appetite When you would come over and spend the night You would eat everything I own You would eat me out of house and home. I will always think of you As each day appears I will always remember the love you gave As I wipe away my tears. I beg the lord each night in prayer To take away the sorrow I pray hell hear my cries at night And help me through tomorrow. I know you are looking down on me And hoping I will be ok I want to let you know I will take it day by day. Thanks for all of the memories That I will hold close to my heart For I will hold them forever As they will never part. You raised me up In a big, safe world I am glad that I had the chance To be your little girl. I know you are at peace Please dont worry about me For I can hear your voice And your gentle touch on my knee. I love you mom with every ounce of my being. Go be with God where I know you are safe and out of harms way. You will always be in my thoughts and forever in my heart.
