The fourth Sunday prior to Christmas marks the beginning of Advent, the season when Christians traditionally celebrate on the first coming of Christ (called his first advent) and reflect upon the promise of his return (called the second advent). During this season Old and New Testament texts referring to the coming of the Messiah are studied, preached, and meditated upon. During December, each of the Wednesdays leading up to Christmas, Ujima Village Christian Church will hold Advent worship services at 6:30 p.m. We welcome all to step away from the shallow, commercialized, worldly focus that modern society has placed upon this season... and, instead, come and focus on the Incarnation and promised return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
