The gentleman in the tie is Colorado State Senator George Rivera. - TopicsExpress

The gentleman in the tie is Colorado State Senator George Rivera. A good man by any definition of the term. George won his seat in the Colorado senate by successfully executing a recall campaign that kicked the gun-grabbing (former) Senator Angela Giron out of office & flipped her seat. Now Senator Rivera is having to defend his seat for the first time come November. The largest city in Georges district is Pueblo. Pueblo has historically been, a rock solid liberal stronghold. Its an extremely blue-collar, unionized labor town thats heavily Hispanic - about 55%. Inspite of those odds he won his recall effort. George is a staunch supporter of the ACofC, participates faithfully in our outreach activities and is executing our 5-Point Plan on the ground in Pueblo to reach out to divergent voters. Tonight hes hosting a townhall meeting, right down in the hood. Just the way we like it! His campaign has reached out to people and organizations that conservatives typically shun -like the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, local teachers union and other groups - & invited them to attend. Then he called me and asked, Would you guys come down and speak or participate in some way in my townhall? I said, Of course we will! So Im out of here in a few minutes to pick up Sheldon (other picture - another member of our team) and were headed to Pueblo to meet, potentially, with some people who have never attended a conservative function in their entire lives. THIS is how we get it done, folks. Are *you* talking to your elected officials about the Plan and encouraging them to get busy acting upon it? If not, why not? Or are you ok with your elected Republican just going to the same ole Republican clubs and talking to the same people over and over and over again? Be the someone!! For those who are financial partners with us ...thank you again. This is where your money is going - to the streets. Were doing the grunt work; youre putting gas in our tanks, dinner in our bellies. Ill pick Sheldon (Pueblos about a 50-minute drive); & in a couple of hours well be knocking yet another brick out of the conservative/minority wall of separation. If you live in the area, Senator Riveras townhall is 6:00pm at Risley Middle School. Cmon out! https://facebook/profile.php?id=100005922812285&fref=ts
