The middle act of the MLB Playoffs is set to raise its curtain - TopicsExpress

The middle act of the MLB Playoffs is set to raise its curtain (the one game playoff earlier was but the overture). On the AL side, Im torn. The Orioles are facing the Royals. The city of my alma mater -- Goucher College -- versus the city where everythings up to date (per the lyrics of a famous song). Yet I have a soft spot for the Royals. The 1985 team was, for my money, the grittiest of my lifetime. They rallied from a 3-1 deficit -- not once, but TWICE -- to win their first World Series. Fast forward to 2014. Archie Eversoles We Ready is the anthem, spurring on the Royals hitting, fielding and energy. Somewhere, Dick Howser and Dan Quisenberry are smiling. As is another late Kansas City area denizen, one Harry S Truman, who is probably admonishing the Royals to give em hell :-) kansascity/sports/mlb/kansas-city-royals/article2541957.html
