The minimum wage rise would actually promote tons of small business ventures. Since the people living near them would have money to try them out. Then they would communicate about the value of their experience. That value will either lead to the business succeeding or failing. This is the free market we all want. Not being sold on a inferior product for a cheap price and told its a great thing by marketing.
