The most difficult aspect in life is the struggle against my flesh, the old man, my sinful nature that yet remains until the Lord takes me home. That struggle is more agonizing and emotionally painful than anything else in life. Yet here is good news...Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord!... (Romans 7:24-25) And I am sure of sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it through to completion at the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6) and Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receiver mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:14-16) and Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, with unveiled face, be holding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit. (2 Corinthians 3:17-18) and Although he was a son, he learned obedience through what he suffered. (Hebrews 5:8) Good news: freedom from sin comes now in Christ and will be fully realized at his day. Rest, my soul; rest. :-)
