The new painting is done! Yay! This painting (revealed at the end of the video) has been on my heart for awhile in light of all that is happening in the world today. I believe that we are so close to Jesus coming back which is incredible, but with that comes birthing pangs of the end and a fear of suffering. As humans we start to fret about suffering even before it happens! That is the opposite of FAITH. The world is going to be looking for answers and help and we need to be strong and faithful enough in our identity in the Lord to give it to them! We are the LIGHT of the world in Jesus Christ. This is no time to fear, this is a time to get excited about the great harvest! This is the time to take refuge in the shadow of the Almighty according to Psalm 91, and to bring others with us to His bosom. It’s time to learn how to enter into the living breathing Word of God so that it is a reality in our lives that is evident to a scared and confused world. My hope is that this painting allows you, by means of your God given imagination, to do just that. As you pray Psalm 91, picture yourself entering into His perfect LOVE under the shadow of His wings. Ask the Father to scoop you up into Him and to give you a fresh gift of FAITH to endure and shine for Him as the days get darker. As my husband so wisely reminded me the other day, WE, by the power of the Holy Spirit are what holds evil at bay in this fallen world. You and I have a job to do that calls for putting on our big girl/boy pants and leaving fear behind. Starting right now.
