The number one thing that concerns me deeply about many Christian is they have erected spiritual boundaries which restrict and constrain their spiritual growth. Boundaries which cause them to accept some scriptural references as divinely inspired while attaching little if any spiritual significance to other portions of scripture. This is a catastrophic error and its extremely dangerous and deceptive. They are following a selective Theological mentality which denies major portions of divinely revealed truth. In an attempt to isolate themselves from belief in the fulness of all the scriptures which they refuse to acknowledge. They erect Theological boundaries which fall far short of the boundaries which God has set for healthy spiritual growth. So many Christians are either convexed or concaved in their view of the word of God. Theologically they are either overstating or understating the true and real meaning of scriptural truth. They have been taught to abandon the correct hermeneutical principles of interpretation of the word of God and to adopt a non hermeneutical approach of “I know what God said to me”. The word of God is not some enigma wrapped in a riddle, and encased in a mystery. It only becomes that when we refuse to acknowledge the principles of biblical interpretation and indulge ourselves in exercises of speculative private interpretation. Many wrestle with the scriptures to their own destruction. Be careful how u handle so called inspiration. True inspiration leads to investigation. Investigation leads to interpretation. Interpretation leads to persuasion. Persuasion leads to belief. Belief leads to practice. Practice leads to the establishment of boundaries. Boundaries determine what u are willing to perceive as truth. The greatest threat and danger to any Christian is the danger of boundaries which are either to restrictive or to loose. Loose boundaries lead to unrestrained speculative deception. Restrictive boundaries have a tendency to isolate and can easily become prison walls. Its time to do what Isaiah said. Isa 54:2 “Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; 3 For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited”. Its time for spiritual enlargement (growth). So lay out your stakes, lengthen your cords and stretch forth your curtains of as boundaries for your spiritual quest. But dont forget this solomn warning!!!! Your efforts must remain within scriptural boundaries. Moving beyond those boundaries will create excess and abuse. Failing to move your spiritual stakes, lengthen your spiritual cords and stretch fort your spiritual curtains far enough will lead to restrictive spiritual growth. Spiritual boundaries which are to restrictive will enclose u behind prison walls and cause u to be found wanting when it comes to understanding the fullness of Gods will for our life. Failing to understand the fulness of HIS will deprives one of the fulness of HIS blessings. TCJCB Shalom ~hg~
