The other day I was helping someone switch their old straight talk - TopicsExpress

The other day I was helping someone switch their old straight talk number to a different straight talk phone. After talking to the ST woman, who wasnt easy to understand, and going thru EVERY thing and explaining several times that I wanted the same old number, she asked for a Sim number and I wasnt sure the phone had one. She said call back when we got one and all I had to do was give that number and itd be ready to activate cuz everything else was done. An hour later I call back and get another girl who was just as hard to understand, but I had to go thru the WHOLE thing again for another half hour. When were done, she tells me to shut off the phone, then turn it on and call someone and it will be activated. So I call myself, and the number that came up on caller id was NOT the number we were trying to get for the phone. SOooo NOW for a third time, I call back. This time I get a guy who was the worst yet for understanding, I mean, his accent was SO thick, I wasnt sure we were even speaking the same language. He said theyd send me a sim card and gave me a phone number to call and talk to a manager when it arrives plus he gave me a case number. But sometimes hed call it a case number & sometimes a ticket number which turned out to be the same thing, but made it hard for me to follow him. I would repeat things to make sure I understood correctly, or say what? when he was talking too fast. Through ALL of this, I remained patient (even tho I was getting quite frustrated), but He WAS getting upset with me and saying very sarcastically Can you hear me now? several times, like he thought he was cutting out on my phone. I said, very calmly and slowly, I can hear you, its just that I CANT understand you, youre accent is too thick for me! I would have NEVER brought that up if he hadnt asked, but then, he went OFF on me, about how I didnt have to be so mean, just cuz were from different cultures, etc, etc, I dont have a mean bone in my body and I didnt say it to be mean, I was being honest. At the end of the conversation, he said, are we good now? I remained totally polite thru all of this, But WHAT NERVE!!
