The proposed Food Bill, which is a pet project of Congress Chief - TopicsExpress

The proposed Food Bill, which is a pet project of Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi, is aimed at giving legal rights to 67 percent of the population over a uniform quantity of 5 kg food grains at a fixed price of Rs 1-3 per kg through ration shops. Socking news is that our BJD also opposing this bill by saying this bill needs some amendments. I am not telling that it need not require any amendments. Support this bill and do amendments. As you all know that Mahatma Gandhi told us “DO or DIE”. I am telling you “Do something before Die”. BJD has known that election is coming if this bill will be passed then they won’t get votes in Odisha. Simply Odisha people will reject them. As you know Odisha is the poorest and second hungry state of India. This must not be delayed any further. Odisha needs food but our politicians needs vote. The National Food Security Bill is a crucial and good opportunity to end hunger and malnutrition in India as well as in Odisha and we hope that this will not be missed out.
