The rain has arrived. Now for about half an hour it has poured. i planted some lettuce seeds earlier this evening, feeling it was going to rain soon. Lucky for me as this should give the seeds an inspiration to grow. You can smell the air as you stray outside. I took some photos earlier with raindrops on Lilies. Hope to capture some more droplets later before my bed time. I love cooking and having found some reaaly great Tesco Finest Basmati Rice today while shopping ,had to cook some to add some of my garden grown peas to. Then place it on my plate with the fresh Mackerel also bought from the same source. I enjoyed evry mouthful. Reading the ingredients and instructions on the rice packet, as you do ,every now and then. I re remembered to soak the rice first ,before cooking. Not forgetting what my Chinese friends had taught me about leaving the last part of the cooking to the heat of the pan with the lid on, without moving the lid. Perfect rice with peas ,ready for the lovely fish cooked with oil and dipped in brown flour. My lights have just gone out. is it the sormy weather? have to go see what is happening. Half the home lit the other half just switched off.
