The tebraa is the singing of women of the desert. They are desert or songs of love or lament sung by the women when they are alone. This collective documentary made by a group of Andalusian women recounts the lives and injustices Saharawi women lives in the harsh conditions of exile and the occupied territories of Western Sahara. The documentary narrates the life of Maaluma, a 30 years old refugee woman who work as a midwife in a refugee camp, the difficulties she and all the refugee women faces in their daily lives, how some women still prefer to give birth in their tents and how many of them hide their pregnancies base of traditional attitudes, she also explain the traditional ceremony of choosing the new born name, where 7 necklaces are used to represent 7 different names, from which the mother will chose one to name her child. She continue to explain that they are living in someone else land, Algeria, and that they are living there thanks to the Algerians who are the rightful owners of the land they have live for more than 39 years. Maaluma says that something needs to be done to resolve the plight of the Saharawi refugees, that 30 some years of exile is to much. Also Spanish families who receive refugee children in the summers, talk about their experiences with them when they visit Spain.
