Terminator: Genisys is officially the movie we all want to see. The new film released its first trailer on Dec. 4, and it’s non-stop action from beginning to end. Arnold Schwarzenegger has made his long-awaited return, and is joined by Game of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke, Divergent’s Jai Courtney and more! ‘Terminator: Genisys’ Trailer: Arnold Schwarzenegger Returns The first trailer is definitely a tease, but it’s getting us super pumped to see Arnold and Emilia kick some serious butt in Terminator: Genisys, the first movie of a planned trilogy for the rebooted franchise. The new movie takes place in 2029, when John Connor (Jason Clarke) once again sends Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) back to 1984 to save John’s mother, Sarah (Emilia Clarke). While that storyline obviously sounds familiar, the rebooted version features an even more badass Sarah Connor, who has been raised by the Terminator. Badass is almost an understatement. In the first moment we meet the new Sarah, she crashes a truck into a store and shoots a cyborg before picking up Kyle! The action-packed scenes in the trailer gave us goosebumps. In an intense showdown, a bus flips completely over and Sarah and Kyle are left hanging off of a bridge! In addition, the rules have completely changed in Terminator: Genisys. Sarah even claims that Judgment Day can be stopped! The Terminator franchise has gotten a complete makeover with an entire new cast, but this might be the best thing to happen to Terminator yet. For diehard fans, it might be hard to adapt to the next chapter of Terminator, but we think they will embrace the story’s evolution! Terminator: Genisys hits theaters on July 1, 2015.
