There are no set of Principles in the Gambia that fundamentally - TopicsExpress

There are no set of Principles in the Gambia that fundamentally guides the way we are govern, given that one man can wake up and change any section of the laws that doesnt conform with a particular outcome to any of his many forms of banditry; then I guess its safe to say that the Gambia has no constitution. Better yet, pretending that it doesnt exist is easier for some of us than trying to make sense of the circus show we have for a government. How did we get here? I bet you have asked yourselves before, reasons numerous but varies from one person to another depending on their level of anger; deeper in some than others. That established. The only way to get our country back is through the ultimate sacrifice and we all know that and in the end for those who are lucky to witness the final victory, would be charged to carry on further burdens such as, fighting among themselves for as long as necessary for the restoration of normalcy. As a people we have been in the mud for far too long that we are left with a population that doesnt even recognize normal anymore. Gone are the days when things were free. Nothing in life is free. Freedom is not free. Our culture of wanting things for free is what got us Yayah Jammeh. If we had risen up initially, about when he started spewing ideas along the likes of Allahs Bank etc may be we wouldnt have gotten to where we re today. But given our love for ALLAH FUDI, I bet some of us were elated that the chosen one had discovered Allahs Bank. well, though hopeless , am a fervent believer that we will get there but its not a question of how anymore. And when we get there, some of us will die, some are gonna get maimed, widowed and orphaned etc. Thats the price we have to pay for posterity to inherit a nation betting existence in the 21st century. we are no better that nations before us that had to shake things up so a brighter day could set in. Its time we get over our naivete. Freedom is not free and a costly freedom is better than existing as bunch of living deaths. Aluta continua. Excuse me, this Gambian struggle has left me an angry mess.
