There are only 2 logical reasons for aliens to spend the vast amount of time and resources required to visit another world, and neither of them are good for the indigenous intelligence on that planet. 1. To gather more resources or 2. because they need a new colony either due to overpopulation of their homeworld or due to their habitat being destroyed. In both cases the logical action would be to wipe out the indigenous intelligence on the new world they have arrived at. Humans still exist, therefore no aliens have ever visited earth in the past million or so years of human existence.
