There are plenty of big reasons why I love him, but some of the more important reasons are really fairly ordinary. When hes been up since 3:30am and worked a 12 hour day out in the wind, but still sits down across from me at dinner to talk about our individual days, those are the moments that true connection happens. When his eyes are bloodshot and his face is wind burned, but he manages to stay awake while I talk about simple, everyday things just because he knows I need his company and value his opinion, that is when he shows his true strength and love. Sitting across from each other at the dinner table is certainly not an act of kindness that he would call heroic. But its in those times that I know theres something rather extraordinary about this thing we call Us. Appreciating him in my heart and breathing a deep prayer of thanksgiving...
