There is a rumour going on about APGA joining forces with APC in the 2015 presidential election, and this, after publicly adopting PDP and President Jonathan by default, as their candidate by alliance, for the 2015 presidential election. The chief Architect of this anti-Igbo move is no other person than Chief Victor Ume. This is obviously calculated to spite Sir Peter Obi, KSS, who is already exclusively in-charge of the South-East Jonanathan campaign through TAN, to the detriment of Umes interest for the same project, the JJJ (Johnny Just Join). It is pertinent to note at this point, that Ume, it was, who led APGA breakaway into APC in collaboration with Rochas Okorocha through Annie Okonkwos C-21, but somehow, the Ebubedike of our time managed to make a return journey to APGA when Obi neutralised his (Ume) illegal move. Once again, our so-called factional chairman is at it again. He is now flirting with APC. We are aware that it is APC that needs a smaller partys help to unseat PDP. But, in APGAs case, it seems it is the other way round. APGA through the ever desperate Ume, seems to be saying, please APC, come and help me disgrace Peter Obi and Jonathan for overlooking me, Victor Ume, and in return for our votes. This is nothing but unnecessary vengeance which will lead to nothing especially for Ndigbos. Let us assume that Buhari succeeds, GOD FORBID, in Anambra, the South-East and by and large Ndigbo in general, wherever they may be voting, what would then happen to the transformational projects already started by Jonathans administration? Are they aware that most of Jonathans projects in the SE would be discontinued in-line with the Nigerian Army Officers Agreement that no viable projects should be located in the former Biafran region, which had been carried out by Buharis group in toto, since the war ended in 1970? We complain about the snails pace as in the construction of the Second Niger Bridge, but we have not thought of the possibility of a Buhari government cancelling the project out-rightly as a wasteful project like the Lagos Metroline of the 80s. The Jonathan government is working on more states for the SE, have we ever thought about these new states been thrown in the bin by a Buhari government? Or do we sincerely believe, after all we know about Buhari, that he will implement the recommendations of the just concluded national conference which favours south-east as a marginalised region. Will a Buhari government open up more ports in the SE and elsewhere? Statistics shows that Ndigbo are the main importers and exporters of goods and services in Nigeria, would Buhari create an enabling environment for this sector, knowing fully well that it would be enjoyed mainly by Ndigbos? #StandWithJonathan for a smooth and peaceful journey through our societal challenges and as anticipated, into the Nigeria of our dream. We must collectively #RejectBuhari to succeed as a nation built on equity, fairness and justice. #VoteGEJ2015 to consolidate the on-going transformation. For a better Nigeria, #VoteJonathan.
