There is no "good" war. Good people may find themselves in - TopicsExpress

There is no "good" war. Good people may find themselves in conflict and resisting evil may require force. Character can be built and destroyed by the exigencies of war. As we discern this moment, we must find the best pathway to peacemaking. While Syria captures our attention, Congo burns. While we were reacting to 9/11 and its aftermath, the tragedy of Darfur swept away thousands. I will post a longer essay on Middle East tensions later this week. For today, I pray for peace and hope we will not enmesh ourselves in another intractable conflict.
