There was once a very viable and representative association for TV practitioners in Nigeria - ITPAN (independent Television Association of Nigeria). It even had a training school. From the initial Presidency of Chief Oloyede, Femi Odugbemi, Jaiye Ojo and Busola Holloway, a once vibrant, respected and active Association became moribund in mediocrity, internal strife and total irrelevancy. The question i would like to ask colleagues who were former members and involved in ITPAN, is what happened? Does anyone out there know the true story of Tinsel and ITPAN? I ask these questions because I have been told a lot of nonsense and maybe its time for the truth to be told openly and publicly!
