Cheyenne was rescued from the wild as a baby after she had been abandoned by her mother. When she first arrived at Safe Haven, she had a severe case of sarcapotic mange (a skin infection caused by parasitic mites) and her chance of survival were estimated at 40%. To treat the mange, she was given two, hour-long medicated baths each day for several weeks. Due to her compromised immune system, Cheyenne was not eligible to be released back into the wild. Today, shes a gorgeous girl and enjoys enrichment treats that are stuffed with meat or rib bones. She has to be quick though, otherwise, her pesky roommate, Juno, helps himself to seconds.
