Things that happened at football today: - We tried 5 different goalkeepers with varying degrees of success, ranging from 3 goals conceded to just 1. - Tom decided to see how many times he could dive before anything was said. 3 free kicks won later, I think he may have found a new tactic. Were going to call it the Bale. - The ref told me off for kicking a defender as he ran past. When I pointed out it he was easier to kick than the ball, the ref laughed and let it go. - Tom ran from left to right to left to right until he was knackered, and then he figured out I was changing who he was marking every 5 seconds just to mess with him. - Sam showed he has no idea what the box is when he ran into the box before he shot, meaning the goal was disallowed. He was clear through with no defender around him, all the time and apace in the world. - Attempting to block a shot, I did a jumping turn (hoping to block the shot with my backside). He didnt shoot, so I continued the turn to face the player. He went to shoot again, so again i did a jumping turn. Once again he didnt shoot so I continued the turn to face him. After the 3rd time my teammates were laughing, since it looked like I was pirouetting across the edge of the box. Then he scored. - We did a treble substitution to wind up the other team. It worked, so we then did a quadruple substitution (in 5-a-side its rolling subs). Next week were going for 5. - I rugby tackled/running hugged an opposition player and bundled him off the pitch. The ref didnt award a free kick. Final score 10-0. I blame Charlie.
