Thinking about being a teenager , a very weird time in your life where you spend so much time trying "not" to be one thing and pushing away those who care the most about you... making so many mistakes and letting all sorts of out side factors shape who you think you should be --- pretending your fine because for some of us this is how we cope with the fact that we are stuck digging our own "hole" ..... then ONE day you realize all of this and by then you have hurt people- hurt yourself - ruined relationships and put others around you at such a distance. Regret is a lonely desperate place to be in and the worst part is there is no "Do - over" you only get one time to live your life. If your lucky enough you might get a second or third chance to try and chase those regrets down and work on repairing them but what I am finding out is that a large portion of them will never be reversed - they are the permanent scares we leave on ourselves. A truly awful burden we carry all our lives. ~Tami~
