This Laniākea YWCA that insisted I pay a $50 yearly membership (because I used 2 mins of electricity plugging in my phone that I didnt know that was a members only privilege) is a part of the self-guided walking tour of the Historic Honolulu Capitol District. The open-air corridors, courtyard and pool provide a Hawaiian sense of respite within the bustling business district of downtown Honolulu. Being an open doors historical facility I had never seen any signs for this 1st time I decided to use a nearby outlet to plug in my phone, which they added another precious minute of electricity usage asking if Im a member or meeting someone or have a meeting etc before finally getting to the requirements to plug in a phone that I then immediately unplugged. I certainly wont consider darkening their door to give them another chance when considering a fitness facility in retirement in a few years! I obviously wasnt aware of their interpretation of Christian faith and peace, justice, freedom, and dignity as well as not being a Young Woman.
