For he does not willingly bring affliction or grief to anyone. Lamentations 3:31 - 33. My dad always says God allows a lesser evil in order to protect His loved ones from a greater evil. Think of all the things that have happened in your life that seemed horrible. And remember that God allowed that "evil" in order to protect you from something that could have been worse of than that.
