This gentleman, Ken Sapp, was an Aviation Radioman 2nd Class in the USN during WWII and flew the rear seat of the SBD Dauntless. His duties included tail gunner as well as radio operator aboard the Dauntless. Our resident historian, Willard Womack had the honor of putting Mr. Sapp into the rear seat of our Dauntless today at Dekalb Peachtree Airport. He thoroughly enjoyed sitting in his old position in the SBD for the first time since he flew in them in WWII. Thank you for your service, ARM2 Sapp.
