This guy is what engineers are all about. Our job is all about coming up with solutions to problems - difficult ones - on our feet. Put a problem before us, and we cant sleep until we have a solution or a fix. And once in a while we get a hero who just naturally excels at it. This guy deserves a medal or a knighthood. When I was contracting for British Aerospace we put forward a proposal for a Dual Redundancy Hot Standby solution (an engineering principal for Safety Critical Systems) for this front wheel problem because it comes up very often. It was a design for a smaller set of wheels in case the master set malfunctions.
