The tears were those of humility, turned to joy, followed by urgency. For you see, I have already spent every dime to feed the children in the guaderia and yet there is still SO much need. Salaries, rent, electricity, repairs due to a break in. A break in with a note left on the table..."Forgive me. I am hungry!" Tears of joy and humility follow as I accept that in spite of all these needs I can also accept. Accept that the need to ask for help is a strength rather than a weakness. Accept that you will pass this on. Accept that the desperation has created a sense of urgency and violence. Accept that the economic situation here is worsening with 20.26 lempiras to equal $! USD while all prices are creeping higher and higher. And then I pray. Pray for answers, pray for guidance, pray that you will respond by contacting my husband : [email protected] and sending money to address these overwhelming needs. In the meantime, I will share all that I have with children who now eat. Children who go to school. Children who make me smile amidst the tears!
