This is a re post that I have been asked to pull forward. I make this often, most of all in the fall and winter. Well tonight I pulled out my Grandmothers recipe for homemade noodles. So I made this huge pot of chicken noodle soup for dinner tonight. There is something about those big fat noodles that you cant get out of a store bought can of soup. Two cups of flour, 1 tsp. salt, four eggs and 1/2 egg shell full of milk or cream add twice. Yes 1/2 egg shell thats what the recipe says. Then you mix it all together and roll it out on a floured cutting board. I used a pizza cutter to make the strips of noodles. Much easier then using a knife. Or you can roll the dough up like you do for cinnamon rolls then cut and just unroll. Then drop a few noodles at a time into you boiling chicken broth. Stir so they dont stick.
