This is a week for farewells... had lunch today at Olive Garden with my friend and former coworker Pam Ullman, artist extraordinaire. Last week, my son and I had our hasta luego lunch and a grand time, just prior to his move to NYC. Funny thing is, a car the same color as Chriss (but a different model) now parks in his spot across the street, and when I catch a glimpse of it from the corner of my eye, well, that eye somehow fills with water. Although hes lived away much of the time since high school at colleges and in various apartments, he was usually close enough to feed the cats and sometimes even house-sit. Now, its time for him to spread his wings and I have encouraged him, but Ill miss him. Note to Cinti friends: Im going to be in Fairhope, AL, again, caregiving for my Mom. Not moving, not selling!
