This is an absolutely remarkable video of a remarkable artiste, master of his instrument and absolutely unique in natural ability, technique and musicianship. His brand of music is not for everyone and is slowly dying out as a performing work of art. But he and it lives on through videos and recordings such as this. Buddy Rich first performed as a professional in his parents act at the age of 18 months and never stopped until his passing in his seventies.
