This is for all you BART refugees. The BART strike sucks for all of us so heres some tips to make it less painful. First, I know youre used to when the train door opens you all cram on like a bunch of rats. Thats not how it works on the road. We go one car from the left lane, one car from the right lane, continue until the merge is done. Also, if someone lets a semi change lanes in front of them dont try to cram in too. Allow that car to go before trying to change lanes. In fact, you should let 2 cars go (because a tractor trailer is so long). And if you do try to cram in and the next car wont let you (which they wont) dont go into a frothy rage and flip them off with the face of a rabid possum. Because, guess what? Now theyre in front of you! Next, the FasTrak lanes are for people who HAVE FASTRAK!! If you dont have FasTrak stay out of those lanes! Additionally, cutting out of your lane, going into the FasTrak lanes, driving all the way to the toll booth and then trying to cut back into the cash lane doesnt make you clever. It makes you an ASSHOLE. And finally, when youre on the road YOU DO THE DRIVING! You cant sit back and read your iPad or sleep. There is no train operator. Now thats you! So PAY ATTENTION! The BART strike sucks for all of us but if you follow these simple tips it will make it that much less sucky for everyone!
