This is going to be a long one because this is the post I’ve been looking forward to making for the last few months now. Today my father is finally going home! For those who don’t know, my father went into cardiac arrest 4 times on the morning of January 5th. I knew my dad was a fighter, and he proved the doctors wrong multiple times. When we first came into the hospital they said that he could die at any moment, and he proved them wrong. A few days later they told us that they thought he was brain dead, and he proved them wrong. Then he went into cardiac arrest for a 5th time, and he came back from that as well. He is truly a walking miracle! After this he went to a transitional hospital, and then went to another transitional that focused more on physical and occupational therapy. The doctors have cleared him to go home, and I can honestly say that a month ago I didn’t think I would ever see this day come to reality. I am so happy to still have my best friend in the whole world with me. Every day he sends me a text, and it reminds me how lucky I am to still have him. Do not ever take family for granted because it can be taken away at any moment. I am sad that I can’t be home to celebrate this moment with my father, but I know I am where he wants me to be. Thanks to everyone who has prayed for him because you are the reason he is still with us today. There is a God, and he was definitely looking out for my Dad. He performs miracles everyday, and my father is one of them. Thanks to you all again, and finally my best friend is going home!
