This is hard to watch! I have seen many dash cam videos depicting questionable use of force that I could argue might of been justified, but I got nothin on this one. This is disturbing. This is obviously a case of worn nerves. I see the agency did the correct thing here and circumvented the 6 month paid administrative leave while they investigate routine and jumped right for termination and incarceration. Cops are humans, and the human mind is something that isnt completely understood. What experiences had this officer encountered to develop this level of anxiety and fractured nerves. Though the camera shows clear as day an honest citizen going about his day. The cameras perspective has zoom, pause, rewind. The Trooper had a mind full of years of experiences and prejudices dictating his perception of what he saw in that encounter. Bad nerves here will cost this guy his career and probably jail time. Bad nerves will erode a little more trust between the public and its servants. Very very happy the citizen here didnt die.
