This is holter dam on the Missouri river which was built in 1916. The dam is the main reason why the Missouri is such an incredible trout fishery. Bottom releases from the dam keep the Mo at 65 degrees this time of year which is pretty incredible making it ideal for aquatic bugs and trout. The second picture is from atop the dam looking down river (the campground is on the left near the bend). The third photo is also from the dam looking up river across holter lake.
