This is the last segment of a treasured plant that Ive kept alive - TopicsExpress

This is the last segment of a treasured plant that Ive kept alive since Aunt Shirley Ashabranner, gave mom a piece of the plant that my cousin Jay Ashabranner gave her for mothers day way back in the 1970s. I was with Jay when he bought the plant I remember at a nursery that once was just across the street from the Badu House. Before the first cold snap I had tons of the plant growing. But when the first cold snap hit last year, I was careless and did not bring it in, and the freezes go it. This tiny piece is the only part that stayed firm. so I kept it in the kitchen window to see if it would grow. I could not tell if it had life in it or not. But now there is just the hint of a tiny green bud on it. I prayed for this plant, as it is special being that it came from Aunt Shirley Ashabranner. And it looks like it just might come back. Ill keep you posted on how it does. I came so close to dumping what was left of it into the compost, but decided to give it a little more time. Guess you can tell I love plants. Especially ones that are from beloved family members who are now with Christ.
