He was in late stages of Ebola infection and had brought the virus there on an aircraft while highly infectious. Thats THE nightmare scenario, with a definite article. There is no telling how many he infected at the large airport and where they went next. Ebola has an incubation period of two to 21 days. If reports of outbreaks show up all over the map in the next two weeks, this is going to get shit ugly real fast. This really is the nightmare scenario. Ebola has a survivability as low as 10%, and if you survive, it looks like a really bad flu outbreak. If you dont, then at the peak of the flu symptoms, youll get a cytokine storm: inflammatory agents will flood your body, and the immune system will respond by attacking every blood vessel and organ of your body, causing internal bleeding everywhere that turns to external bleeding.
