This is the reason why we need to be a species dedicated to education, tolerance, and peace. That someday in the distant, or perhaps not so distant, future, human civilization can come in contact with other forms of life that inhabit this vast universe. I mean, its very possible that somewhere in this universe there are other forms of intelligent life. I would almost say its highly probable. Sure, the conditions under which we evolved under were highly unlikely, and through which were all incredibly lucky to exist. Regardless, this universe is enormous, and it would be foolish to believe that we are the only lifeforms that inhabit it. I cant say for certain that there are other forms of life out there, but I believe in the possibility and I believe that humanity has a responsibility to ensure that Earth can reach out into the depths of the cosmos and find ways to improve our own lives as well as any other life we find out there.
